G-M -> [ SMS of the Day ] English SMS

little boy & Finance Minister

Help spreading http://decentsms.com , by forwarding this sms to your friends..!

A little boy wanted Rs.50 very badly
& prayed for weeks but nothing happened.
.
Finally he decided to write God a letter,
requesting Rs.50.
When the postal authorities received the letter addressed to God,
they decided to forward it to the Finance Minister of Pakistan as a joke.
.
The Finance Minister was so amused,
that he instructed his secretary to send the little boy Rs.20,
thinking this would appear to be alot of money to a little boy
& he did not want to spoil the kid.
.
The little boy was delighted with Rs.20
& decided to write a thank you note to God,
.
which read:

"Dear God,
thank you very much for sending the money.
However, I noticed that you sent it through the Finance Minister in Islamabad
& those bloody donkeys deducted Rs.30 in taxes!

Can you tell when you are in a hotel room, restroom, motel etc. with a mirror whether it is in fact a mirror or 2-way glass?

Here's how:
I thought it was quite interesting! And I know in about 30 seconds you're going do what I did and find the
nearest mirror... Do you know how to determine if a mirror is 2-way or not?  This is not to scare you, but to
make you aware. A policewoman who travels all over the world. and gives seminars and techniques for
businesswomen passed this on.  When we visit toilets, bathrooms, hotel rooms, changing rooms, etc., how
many of you know for sure that the seemingly ordinary mirror hanging on the wall is a real mirror, or actually a
2-way mirror (i.e., they can see you, but you can't see them)? There have been many cases of people installing
2-way mirrors in female changing rooms. It is very difficult to positively identify the surface by just looking at it.
So, how do we determine with any amount of certainty what type of mirror we are looking at? Just conduct this
simple

Test:  Place the tip of your fingernail against the reflective surface and if there is a GAP between your
fingernail and the image of the nail, then it is a GENUINE mirror.  However, if your fingernail
DIRECTLY TOUCHES the image of your nail, then BEWARE, FOR IT IS A 2-WAY MIRROR!"No Space,
Leave the Place" So remember, every time you see a Mirror, do the "fingernail test." It doesn't cost you anything.

Remember: "No Space, Leave the Place"

Ladies: Share this with your girlfriends, sisters, daughters, etc.
Men: Share this with your wives, daughters, daughters-in-law, mothers, girlfriends and friends.

Take that, atheists!
"God" Wins!

oxox -Christofur

They walked in tandem, each of the ninety-two graduating students filing into the already crowded auditorium.  With their rich maroon gowns flowing .. and the traditional caps, they looked almost ... as grown up as they felt.

Dads swallowed hard behind broad smiles, and Moms freely brushed away tears.

This class could NOT pray during the commencements- ---not by choice, but because a recent court ruling prohibited it.

The principal and several students were careful to stay within the guidelines allowed by the ruling. They gave inspirational and challenging speeches, but no one mentioned divine guidance and no one asked for blessings on the graduates or their families.

The speeches were nice, but  routine..... until the final speech received a standing ovation.

A solitary student walked proudly to the microphone. He stood still and silent for just a moment,  and then, it happened.
H

All 92 students, every single one of them, suddenly SNEEZED!!!!

The student on stage.. simply looked at the audience and said,
'GOD BLESS YOU'.
And he walked off stage...
The audience exploded into applause. This graduating class had found a unique way to invoke God's blessing on their future with or without the court's approval.
This is a true story; it happened at the University of Maryland.
Oh, how I wish THIS one would take off and FILL the whole Country!!!

For where the name of God is invoked.. No danger will insue.

A night with the homeless...and an ImPorTant message to All

Wed Jun 17, 2009 2:19 am (PDT)

Hi to Each and EveryOne of U again,

As i said before, i normally do not comment on any postings when i post it, but only reply to it individually, when i get a response to it, but in this posting, i am very touched by it and would like all of u to go to the website at the bottom of this message and read the rest of the stories there, and i assure u, that all of u will be thoroughly moved by it.

Btw, when and if u are responding to the messages that i have posted, please do not leave out or delete my name or my email address, b'coz that is how i track emails posted to me, as that is the only way, (as i receive more than 500+ emails per day), and your input and feedbacks, are very important and valuable to me.

To cite u an example, this morning, after receiving an email from another yahoogroup member, whom i shall call "B" commented on top of that posting of another yahoogroup member, whom i shall call "A", and as i do not remember receiving that particular email in my Yahoo inbox from "A", b'coz she deleted my name as well as email address, i immediately went straight to that website to retrieve that message to reply, and spent the entire morning composing an email to reply, and what i usually do is to copy what i had written, in case anything happens to it, ie, sometimes my computer acts up and i am unable to send, but unfortunately was unable to do it, and what happened was that after clicking "Send", it gave me the message that my message was posted, but when i went to "Home" in that website to make doubly sure that message was posted, it did not appear at all, and even up to now, it has not made any appearance, eventhough i was not on
"moderation"...sigh...and therefore, i have to rewrite everything again tomorrow, as i do not have the time now, b'coz of time constraints. :(

Apologies for my ramblings and Deepest Appreciation to all U for reading them,
AsianWoman

A night with the homeless
by: Ellis Moore (Age 10)

Every Saturday or Sunday night my family and I go out and feed the homeless people
in the city of Orlando. There are thousands of people across The United States with
out food or shelter. My family and I have been doing this for several months.
We wanted to see what it was like in the life of a homeless person.  One special
thing I like to mention is, my family and I do not eat before we begin are journey.
So we know how it feels to be hungry. All of the areas we go to are very dangerous.
We go on streets such as, Orange blossom trail, Parramore, Gore street, Colonial
dr , and Down town Orlando.
We all get together in the kitchen and prepare the food. Some of the meals are
sandwiches and cookies and a bottled of water. Sometimes my mom prepares a
steaming hot delicious meal. We then bag them all up to feed 30 or more people.
I like to write a special notes on the bags like, "God loves you". Before my
family And I get into the car we ask God for protection in a family prayer.
A lot of people misunderstand homeless people. Not all homeless people are
drug addicts or bad people some are really nice. Some of them just had bad
things happened to them.
At first when my family and I went out on the street we had to earn there trust.
Because a lot of people are mean to them for no good reason. But now that they
see us every week they trust us. We even know some of their names. We all have
to remember that these are people that have feelings. Some of them shake our
hands for giving them food, and thank us. Some of them do really funny dances
because they are happy.
We have become really close with this man named Tony and his wife. They have
all of their personal belongings in shopping carts. After meeting with them s
everal times he has told us a lot about his life. He graduated from collage
and has a PHD. He used to teach French and, Spanish. He graduated from Howard
University.
After we get done feeding the homeless ,it makes me appreciate what I have at
home. Sometimes it makes me sad, and makes mom cry. I love feeding the homeless,
and making a difference in someone´s life.

Please post your thoughts, comments and your story on my blog http://www.MrPositiveBlog.com

P/S - if u were to receive 2 copies of this, was b'coz my computer acted up again, and i had to resend it again.

Ten reasons why Team India crashed out of ICC -Twenty20 World Cup 20

Ten reasons why Team India crashed out of ICC -Twenty20 World Cup 2009.. Must Read for All

The sudden and dramatic exit of Team India from the race for the semi-finals of the ICC World Twenty- 20 Cup 2009 has shocked onlookers and confounded experts. Being the joint favourites along with South Africa for winning the Cup, the defending champions displayed a lack of innovation as also the absence of sheer desperation that resulted in their amazing success in South Africa in 2007 when they lifted the trophy as rank outsiders. The ten main reasons that led to their shocking elimination are -

1) Complacency - There seemed to be an air of 'nothing-can-go-wrong' in the team's approach. They appeared to feel all along that the Cup was rightfully theirs and that no other team had the fire power to gun them down. That they lost to both the West Indies and England, two of the less formidable teams in the draw, indicated a sense of false superiority which did not result in runs on the board or wickets in the bag.

2) Sehwag's unavailability - Despite a star-studded line-up, India had no other batsman who could scare the wits out of the opposition bowlers quite like Virender Sehwag does. Yuvraj Singh is India's batting hero in this version of the game, but the task proved too much even for him, in the absence of the Sultan of Multan, whose shoulder injury cost India dear.

3) Wrong team selection - India bungled by playing an extra bowler in a batsman oriented format of the game. As a result, there was not enough ammunition in the late middle order to test the opposition seriously enough. Dinesh Karthik should have played instead of Ravinder Jadeja in the match against England. Yusuf Pathan and Rohit Sharma could have bowled spin along with Yuvraj Singh to fill the breach. Ishant Sharma could have been dropped in favour of Praveen Kumar whose swing bowling was suited to English conditions.. RP Singh should have played all the matches, given that he was the highest wicket taker in the IPL, and the in-form bowler in the team!

4) Fielding lapses - In the match against the West Indies especially and also on some other occasions, misfielding hurt India badly. Two clear boundaries went through the legs of the fielders against the Windies, and could have made the difference in a close match. More over, India's field placing was such that the slower fielders in the team found the ball coming towards them on more occasions than did the best fielders. Ishant Sharma and Zaheer Khan were

5) Easy early matches - A factor that Team India could not do anything about, given their top-seeded billing! They had Bangladesh and Ireland for company in their group and found them to be easy meat. But the lack of serious opposition at that stage meant that they had to suddenly up the ante against better teams in the super-league, which they could not manage!

6) Jadeja's dilemma - By pushing green-horn Ravinder Jadeja up the order the team management exposed him to some accurate and hostile bowling from the England pacers in the crucial tie at Lords. Jadeja is a talented player and had claimed two key wickets with his left-arm spin earlier in the match but he appeared to be overawed by the occasion and could not really handle the pressure. In a match that India lost by just 3 runs, Jadeja's 22 off 30 balls was surely a match-losing effort.

7) Short-pitched challenge - The manner in which the West Indian fast bowlers, followed by their English counterparts, tested India's top order with short-pitched bowling was revelatory. Rohit Sharma, Gautam Gambhir and Suresh Raina just could not get going and were tied down and then forced to find ungainly ways of hitting out or getting out while facing the bouncy stuff. India's top order has seldom looked as ruffled as it did in this tournament. Perhaps a realization that the conditions in England are such that they require pure cricketing shots in the first few overs may have done the trick

8) Dhoni was out of sorts - Captain cool, MS Dhoni kept wickets reasonably well, and marshalled his forces to the best of his ability, but his batting was a let down. Even in the match against England when he and Pathan almost chased down the target, he could not really get the big shots going. His bat seemed to have lost its potency, for his shots simply lacked the explosiveness that they are known for.

9) Media trouble - Another factor was surely the off-the-field distraction especially the manner in which the Sehwag issue was dealt with. The media flayed the present Captain's attitude for the first time ever and the foolhardy attempt at displaying a sense of camaraderie by presenting the whole team at a Press conference was most bizarre.

10) Too much cricket - The current Indian team plays all around the year and big matches obviously lose their aura for the players when so much cricket is played. This was the World Cup after all, but from the look of them, Team India could well have been playing any other international series. Gautam Gambhir, who has been the most prolific scorer in world cricket in the past one year, looked totally jaded, and exemplified the mal-effects of excessive international cricket. Fans of the Indian team are distraught and shocked at their early exit from the ICC World Twenty 20. Let's see if the team can re-group from here and win back our admiration in the coming months.

Never take some one for granted,Hold every person Close to your Heart because you might wake up one day and realize that you have lost a diamond while you were too busy collecting stones." Remember this always in life.

Good Morning

A Great Day Starts with a Good
Morning!
Begin today with a heaping spoonful of
energy!
Sprinkle it with lots of happiness, sunshine, and
smiles!
Add a generous helping of optimism to keep you
going!
others!

Luck is like sand in hands.
It will sneak
out through fingers,
no mater gripped firmly or held loosely.
Only hands in the praying posture can save it..
